Corporate Social Responsibility Celebrated in New Video Series

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR for short) is when companies”aim to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature.” In short, it represents the ways in which companies give back and contribute to the greater good.

New online video series celebrates corporate social responsibility.

“American Companies Give Back” is a new online video series that celebrates companies that embody corporate social responsibility. Hosted by TV personality Ken Bastida, the series is being produced pro bono by Seattle video production company, Bayside Entertainment.

Corporate social responsibility is essential, especially at this time of Covid-19. Companies across the United States are stepping up. The new video series launched last Friday and has a great lineup of CSR stories to share in the coming weeks.

Last week, TCC, a large midwestern Verizon retailer was profiled for their “Culture of Good“. Husband and wife team Scott and Julie Moorehead have embraced the spirit of giving into every aspect of their business. TCC Gives gives back all year round with community grants. Additionally, their “More Than A Phone” program supports survivors of domestic abuse.

Wag! Gives Back

This week, the video spotlight turns to on-demand dog walking app, WAG!. The dedicated team at WAG! is committed to supporting animal shelters across the United States and Puerto Rico. Working with their non-profit partner Greater Good and Animal Rescue Site, Wag! has donated more than 10 million meals to shelter pups across the United States.

Wag! partnered with GreaterGood.org to support homeless animals during Covid-19

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Wag! provided financial and on the ground support to #StayHomeAndFoster . This national effort was created by GreaterGood.org to provide a solution to homeless pets at risk of being euthanized due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wag! donated over 10 millions meals and helped to support 2500 animal rescues

David Cane, VP of Customer Success/Trust & Safety at WAG! summed up Wag!’s commitment to corporate social responsibility this way:

People make up the communities we serve so now it’s time for us to utilize our power. We have the ability to help the communities who have helped up become the brand that we are. All companies have some level of obligation and responsibility to give back during this time of need.”

Tune into You Tube this Friday to see this episode of “American Companies Give Back”. Help us celebrate the companies that “walk the walk” in terms of corporate citizenship. Each segment is a five minute dose of video inspiration. The producers hope to provide some good news in this time when it feels in limited supply.
